Deep Fried Prawns Wrapped in Vermicelli

Want to make any appetizer fantastic? Deep fry it! This recipe has all the flavor and flair of a great seaside restaurant dish that you can make at home.



½ kg Prawns, peeled & deveined (head intact)

Vermicelli, soaked just until manageable

Sweet chili sauce, for dipping

Cilantro, for topping

Cooking oil, for frying

Salt and pepper, to taste 


  1. Rinse prawns and season with salt and pepper. Wrap prawns with vermicelli.
  2. Deep fry in hot oil using a tong to hold the vermicelli intact. Repeat with the rest of the prawns. Top with cilantro and serve with sweet chili sauce.
